Update: I don't know if anyone will see this now, but I've sầu done some testing & Windows Sonic definitely improves the clarity of the sound, and I've found it lessens the slight audio delay that occurs with the bitstream out option. I recommend using it.

Your current mixamp is using Dolby Headphone, which supports up to lớn 7.1 sound.
Windows Sonic & Dolby Atmos for Headphones tư vấn 8.1.4.4/7.1.4.4 (for providing elevation), plus 16 dynamic channels that can be positioned arbitrarily in 3d space around the listener.
However, it'll take new software with dedicated tư vấn to lớn take advantage of those additional capabilities - they need khổng lồ use the new spatial audio APIs that I believe were introduced with the Creator's Update.
For current games, it'll just be provide virtual 7.1, the same as your mixamp.
In short, try it out now to see how it compares lớn your mixamp, but whatever you decide, keep an eye out for when games start supporting it natively, since once they bởi you should definitely switch over, regardless of your choice right now.

You dont want to have windows sonic on at the same time as the sorround sound from your head set. If u enable windows sonic u must run your headphối in stereo or it wont work properly.

In which case it does not matter what you set your tai nghe option too, because in the eyes of the system, it's not a tai nghe. The Astromix amp takes it audio from optical, not the headphone socket, so as long as you use the Mixamp, which if you have you should be using, then you can't use Windows Sonic.
That's what the "Using HDXiaoMI or optical audio headset" option is for - it'll do the virtual surround processing, then sover that as a stereo signal over hdmi/optical, allowing you to use an external amp rather than just the controller headmix port.
